Knicks C Mitchell Robinson ruled out vs. 76ers
Wendell Cruz-USA TODAY Sports

New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson has been ruled out for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference first-round series against the host Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday due to a sprained left ankle.

The decision was made after Robinson participated in pre-game warmups.

Robinson sustained the injury in the first half of New York's 125-114 loss to Philadelphia in Game 3 on Thursday. He did not play in the second half for the Knicks, who hold a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Robinson, 26, recently returned to the court after a 50-game absence due to an ankle injury. He initially was injured on Dec. 8 and required surgery.

Precious Achiuwa likely will see more playing time in the absence of Robinson, who averaged 5.6 points and 8.5 rebounds in 31 games this season.

The 7-footer owns career averages of 8.0 points and 7.9 rebounds in 320 games (196 starts) since New York drafted him in the second round in 2018.
