Eric Bledsoe was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers as part of a five-player blockbuster in early February, but did not end up suiting up for his new squad this past season due to an Achilles injury. It appears that Bledsoe's run in Portland may soon be coming to an end.
The Portland Trail Blazers plan to waive guard Eric Bledsoe ahead of his guarantee date approaching, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Entering his 13th NBA season, several teams are expected to pursue Bledsoe as a free agent.

Prior to his injury and the trade, the guard averaged 9.9 points, 4.2 assists, 3.4 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 25.2 minutes per game across 54 contests (29 starts) with the Los Angeles Clippers. The 2021-2022 campaign was Bledsoe's second go-around with Los Angeles, after playing spending his first three NBA seasons with the club from 2010 to 2013 and then making stops with the Phoenix Suns, Milwaukee Bucks and New Orleans Pelicans.
Bledsoe will turn 33 in December.
The Trail Blazers signed guard Gary Payton II to a three-year contract last week, perhaps signaling the end of Bledsoe's time with the organization.
