Free agent linebacker Brandon Marshall hasn't played in an NFL regular-season game since the 2018 campaign but is nevertheless attracting interest from suitors ahead of the summer months.
Per Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk, Marshall worked out for the Chicago Bears on Monday. The 31-year-old previously had a workout with the San Francisco 49ers last month but did not put pen to paper on a deal with that organization.
Marshall was part of the Denver team that won Super Bowl 50 and appeared in 11 games with the Broncos during the 2018 season. Denver parted ways with him the subsequent winter, and he failed to play a single snap during a couple of stints with the then-Oakland Raiders. He went unsigned throughout 2020.
Marshall has tallied 418 total tackles with 6.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, and one defensive touchdown over his career that began when the Jacksonville Jaguars selected him in the fifth round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He was slowed by injuries when he was last associated with a team, and questions remain about if he can stay healthy for an entire grueling season.
